Suit pannier bag

I have been using this just under a year. Prior to this, I was using a Henty backpack. I like this garment bag as I don't have to carry it. However, within a few months, I note the studs from the pannier rails have protruded and poked a hole into the suit compartment. It also get quite bulky and becomes a pain to load on the bike (I had colleagues expressing shock at the size of the bag!). Hanging the bag up to change into my suit is a daunting process as the bag is very heavy and most hooks can't take the weight. I am undecided if I would go back to Henty. The shipping cost to Australia was exorbitant (almost the cost of the bag). If I had known of these issues, would I still consider this bag? Maybe.

Thanks for the feedback and review Mag. We don't have great distribution in Australia so shipping is tough. We ship from our USA or Canada warehouses and shipping is expensive. We try to subsidize the Aussie shipments but this big bag (as you say) can sometimes cost us upwards of $200 USD to get it to different parts of Australia. We get surprised sometimes and are shocked with how crazy international rates and fuel charges are now. But we still try our best to offer products to customers down under for reasonable shipping rates. We charge usually around $80 USD and subsidize the over. Anyway thanks for supporting us and Henty. I feel like we are both the originals in this category that attacked the problem in slightly different ways. All the best!

Loved it for about 2 months

Have the 2.0 Garment Pannier. Loaded it up with full suit, dress shirt, laptop, shoes, towel, shower stuff. It worked great and was really enjoying it for about 2 months last year.
Some of the screws on the 2.0 bag started to poke thru the material on the inside of the bag. These were the screws for the attachment/locking mechanisms to the bike rack. There is a 'dome' these screws go into, but for some reason the ends still stuck out a bit. The screws started to leave marks on my clothes / suits.
I reached out to support and the only advice they gave was to file the screws down.
I did this but still had the same problem. Ended up using some duct tape to try and cover up the screws and this helped for awhile.
I'd say if you have a commute of 10km or so, and fully load the bag, just make sure the screw ends on the inside of the bag are not showing through.

Hi Adam, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Garment Pannier. We are sorry to hear about the issue you experienced with the screws poking through the material on the inside of the bag. Our team is constantly working to improve our products and we appreciate your feedback. We will definitely take this into consideration for future design updates. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Nearly perfect bag!

I've been commuting with this bag for a year now and absolutely love it. It's durable, compact, well-organized, and east to attach and detach.

The only thing I wish it had is a way to carry shoes, which don't fit in the trunk or the side compartments. I emailed TWG suggesting they consider an alternative attachment where the "trunk" goes designed to carry shoes. I do like the trunk, of course, but maybe a shoe holder with smaller trunk space on top could work?

Thanks Jake! Sorry to hear about the trouble packing your shoes. Hmmm, we usually put our shoes in the exterior pocket of the bag. Inside the main compartment also works if needed. We will continue looking at ways to improve shoe storage for future models. Appreciate the ideas too! Ride safe!

Holds a LOT but can get bulky

I've had this garment bag for two years now and use it daily. Very durable. For my commute I have to bring all my toiletries, my breakfast, my lunch, my computer, and my clothes and shoes. It all fits in the bag, but the bag does get bulky. It gets BIG. When full, it is difficult to attach the lower catch slider to the bike. In fact, the slider fell off after about 3 weeks of usage. I want to order another but they are out of stock.

Hi Caroline! Thank you for sharing your review on the Garment Pannier - Classic 3.0. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by its bulkiness and the slider falling off. Rest assured, we are working on restocking the product and we'll keep you updated. Thank you for your support and understanding!
